3/06/10 Good fishing this morning on the Guadalupe River. As usual the best patterns were the sucker spawn and a trico emerger.
3/09/10 Fishing was good today until early afternoon. The most productive patterns were an orange egg ans a zebra midge.
3/10and 11/10 First trip of the season on the Llano River. Fishing was good including several fish over 3 lbs. Huge fish for the Llano. Most of the bass took streamer patterns but we did get a few on top. The Llano should really get going in the next few weeks.

3/12/10 Good fishing this morning on the Guadalupe River. We fished a half day this morning the weather was beautiful and the fish were hungry. The pink sucker spawn was the fly of the day.
3/14/10 Awesome trout fishing today on the Guadalupe River. Weather today was sunny and in the 70s. The fish were active all day. We lost count of how many fish we hooked before lunch. Quite a few of the fish we landed were in the 16" to 18" range and a few were over 20". The best fly was an orange sucker spawn. We caught fish on the trico emerger and a zebra midge as well as a few other small mayfly emergers.
3/16/10 It was a cold rainy this morning on the Guadalupe River. The trout didn't seem to mind though. We caught a few nice rainbows on yellow sucker spawns and trico emergers. The sun came out in the afternoon and the fishing slowed down.

3/19/10 Good fly fishing today on the Gadalupe river. Kurt Lange and his son Charlie caught some nice fish today. The usual favorites caught most of the fish. Eggs, sucker spawns, midges and trico emergers.

3/21/10 Good fly fishing today on the Guadalupe river. Once again the sucker spawn and the trico emerger did the trick.
3/25/10 We did a half day float this morning and enjoyed some great Guadalupe River trout fishing. Our average fish was around 14" and we caught a couple in the 20" range. Pink sucker spawns and a trico emergers were the best flies.

3/31/10 Fly fishing on the Guadalupe River continues to be great. Water temperatures are in the low 50s and we are seeing multiple hatches throughout the day. Right now we are seeing some of the best fishing conditions in years. Trico emergers in the mornings and caddis emergers in the evenings. A few fish are still taking the sucker spawn.
4/1/10 Floated the San Marcos River this afternoon. Some of the best flows on the San Marcos River in years. We managed to catch some nice bass, smallmouth largemouth, Guadalupes as well as one nice rock bass. Most of the fish were caught on streamer patterns.
3/22/10 Great weather today for some great fly fishing on the Guadalupe River. We caught quite a few nice fish on midges, small mayfly nymphs and a few fish on caddis emergers.

4/2/10 We had another decent day on the San Marcos River. Good flows and a few good sized bass. We caught them down deep on leeches as well as a few fish on poppers.

4/3/10 Great weather today and great fishing on the Guadalupe River. We caught fish on several different mayfly patterns. We also caught a few fish on caddis emergers.
4/8/10 Another all around great day on the Guadalupe River. Fishing was really good. We caught fish on trico emergers, caddis emergers and San Juan worms. Water temperatures are still in the low 50s and the fish are feeding agressively.
4/11/10 We had a good day today on the Colorado River below Austin. We caught quite a few bass and a few nice ones as well. Fishing on the Colorado will get better in the next few weeks as water levels drop and the water warms up.

4/18/10 Cloudy water today on the San Marcos River. We did manage to catch a few bass including one 3 pounder.
4/19/10 Slow fishing today on the Guadalupe River. We did hook a half dozen fish on trico emergers and caddis emergers. Fishing should improve after the trout get used to the change in flow.

4/20/10 Fished the Llano River near Mason today. The water was high and off color, but we did catch about 20 fish. Most were bass with a few sunfisn. We caught fish on several different flies both on top and subsurface. Fishing should reallt improve as the water clears.

4/24/10 Good trout fishing this morning on the Guadalupe River. We caught fish on trico emergers, RS3s and San Juan Worms. The sun cam out in the afternoon and the fishing slowed down.
4/26/10 We had another great morning of fly fishing on the Guadalupe River. The trout were very active from mid morning until early afternoon. The best flies were trico emergers and red San Juan Worms.
4/27/10 Higher flows on the Llano River allowed us to float a lower section that had not been floatable for several years. The fishing was slow most likely due to low water temperatures. We did manage to catch a couple of nice bass on a small hopper pattern.
4/30/10 Cloudy today and great fishing on the Guadalupe River. We caught fish all day. The Guadalupe is just under 600 cfs at the moment and the water is very clear and holding in the mid 50s. The most productive patterns were San Juan worms, zebra midges and RS2s.

5/2/10 Good fishing this morning on the Guadalupe River. We did a half day float and caught fish until we called it a day around noon. San Juan worms and trico emergers caught most of the fish.
5/4/10 Great fishing this morning on the Guadalupe River. We did a half day float and finished around noon. We caught quite a few nice fish this morning , mostly on orange San Juan worms. The best fish of the day was over 20 inches.
5/5/10 Another awesome day fly fishing for trout on the Guadalupe River. We caught quite a few trout today on several different patterns. The best producers were San Juan worms, trico emergers and a disco midge. Fishing was better later in the day.

5/8/10 We had a slow day today on the Llano River due to muddy water. We did manage to catch a few bass. Fishing should improve as the water clears.
5/10/10 Great fishing today on the Guadalupe River. Lot's of fish today. Fishing was best in the early afternoon. We caught most of our fish on a stonefly nymph and a red San Juan worm.
5/18/10 Fished the Colorado River today. Fishing was fair. The river was off color due to recent rains but we did manage to catch a few smaller bass as well as one in the 3 pound range. The most effective patterns were white baitfish imitations, but we caught a few on foam poppers.
5/20/10 Good fishing today on the San Marcos River. We caught quite a few small bass and sunfish. We also caught a few larger bass as well. WE caught fish on quite a few surface flies as well as sub surface patterns. Hoppers, buggers, and crayfish imitations seemed to be the best.
5/21/10 Really good fly fishing today on the Llano River. We caught fish throughout the day. Most of the fish were caught on the surface. Poppers and grasshopper flies were the best flies today.
5/25/10 Great fishing today on the Colorado River between Austin and Webberville. We caught quite a few bass a 5 pound catfish and gar up to 3 feet. Black buggers and white zonkers were the most productive flies.
5/26/10 Great fishing today on the San Marcos River. We caught tons of sunfish and around a dozen bass. Everything was caught on surface flies. Black patterns with rubber legs worked best.

5/29/10 Good fishing today on the San Marcos River. We caught quite a few fish today on foam frog patterns.
5/30/10 Decent fishing this morning on the San Marcos River . Hopper imitations were the fly of the day. Fishing slowed down as it got hot in the afternoon.
6/1/10 Good fishing again today on the San Marcos River. We caught quite a few fish in the morning on hoppers and frogs on top. After things warmed up we had good luck on crawfish patterns.
6/2/10 Muddy water today on the Llano River. We did manage to catch a dozen or so fish on grasshopper flies.
6/5/10 Great fishing today on the San Marcos River. We caught quite a few nice bass on Frog flies. The best fish of the day was around 4 pounds. We switched to sub surface flies in the afternoon and caught a few more.
6/8/10 We did a half day float this morning on the Colorado River below Austin. Fishing was OK, we caught a few nice bass as well as a hand full of smaller ones. Best flies were a black rubber legged wooly bugger and a yellow popper.
6/10/10 Great fly fishing today on the Llano River. Constant action all day. Everything was caught on a small green grasshopper pattern. The Llano River is in great shape right now. The water is very clear and the flows are above average for this time of year.
