For once I'm not complaining about being stuck indoors at the computer. With the temperature still in the mid 30s and a cloudy sky it is good to be warm. I'll be on the water the next few days and it should be a little warmer. The trout on the Guadalupe are liking the cold weather. Water temps have dropped into the 40s and that is perfect for aggressive feeding. We have also been seeing some good bug hatches on the warmer days. Last weeks' rains have helped with the low flows on the Guadalupe River. The river is still low but at 100 cubic feet per second it is almost double what we had earlier in the season. The next couple of months are usually the best time of year to fish the Guadalupe and this year is looking good.
